In July of 2014 , I was in Japan. The weather was hot and humid. Everywhere was lush and green and on both sides of the roads , there were rice farms.
Japanese people were kind , hospitable and very respectful as I had expected before going there.
Some Japanese are Buddhists and the rest are Shintos.
According to my research , the Japanese are not religious , but they respect their father’s religion.
Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines are very simple and there are no gold or statues inside them.
The Emperor is the symbol of Japan. He does not have any political power , but all Japanese respect him.
Most of the Japanese gardens and parks are only green and the Japanese do not landscape them with colorful flowers.
The Shinkansen or Bullet train is one of the signs of a modern country. I think it was quicker than the European trains.
I traveled 850 Kilometers in four only hours using the bullet train with 5 stops.
I also saw some solar farms along the roads and they reminded me of my trip to Germany.
This showed me that the developed countries have been investing in newer and cleaner types of energies.
The other similarity to Germany was the special lanes for bikers in the streets and on sidewalks.
Japanese taxies were old Toyotas and the driver opened the back door by pressing a button.
In contrast to my expectations , Japanese cuisine was very delicious and varied.
Rice is one of their main items for breakfast , lunch and dinner.
When you get to a restaurant in summer , waiters put a glass full of cold water in front of you.
The reason for this practice is that the high percentage of humidity in Japan makes people very thirsty.
Tokyo was full of skyscrapers and very crowded.
Tourists usually notice the design , beauty or cleanliness of cities they visit but we have to consider the infrastructure that is present in the modern cities of the world.
For example , the Metro and Monorail network has been widespread throughout the city of Tokyo and outside.
Approximately 13 million people use this system daily.
I think that the Japanese sense of cooperation , technological contributions and reputation for honesty have been the most important factors which have pushed these people to their current level of success.
When I was in Tokyo , I visited Disney land in a hot day that it was full of many slanted-eyes children.
